The Acceptors (ref. no. cl-82f50) are the twin adept-Clients to the Tandu along with the Episiarchs. The Acceptors are curious to the point of total disregard for bodily harm. They have been bred as living and intelligent psi detectors, with the ability to scan parsecs for the mental pattern of sentient thought. They are controlled through direct pain impulses by their Patrons, but seem to be able to completely disregard their nerve signals until they become unconscious. Prolonged exposure to the outside universe leads to the onset of an orgasmic comatose state.

The Tandu are currently under ongoing investigation as to the Uplift of the Acceptors and Episiarchs. The Acceptors have been under indenture for more than 150,000 years, and it is unknown as to if they can operate as sentient beings of Galactic standards, despite their astounding psi powers.
