Kiqui

Kiqui are the youngest known pre-sentient race in the Five Galaxies (only discovered less than three years ago), although not yet officially Clients and therefore not officially agknowledged as a race, the Kiqui are a rare find nontheless. Discovered by the crew of the Earthclan ship Streaker, the Kithrup aboriginals were termed "Kiqui" and taken aboard the fugitive vessel shortly before it was able to escape the Ksthemenee system.

The Kiqui are amphibious creatures, who can obtain oxygen from either the air or water through the fringe of cilia atop their heads. They have six limbs: the first four are used for gripping and maneuvering underwater. The back two are powerfull for propelling them through the water and for bipedal walking on land. Like all Kithrupian life, their skeletons are made of metals, and their hide is tough and rigid with heavy metals which flow through the ocean currents. At the time of their discovery, they had discovered fire and fished at night, and also some primitive agricultural foraging techniques. They were ripe for Client status, as far evolved as they could be without a Patron.

Found by the Humans and Dolphins of the Streaker, their status as a race is uncertain. The Galactic Treaty with the Humans states that they cannot take anymore Clients. Having a pre-sentient race in the middle of a Galaxy-wide war is not an admirable situation. The Wolfling Humans are too stubborn to relenquish such a wonderful race.
